Having worked with several trainers before Ryan, I'm convinced that being a great trainer is 80% psychology/personality and 20% technical knowledge. Don't get me wrong: Ryan certainly knows a lot about how the body works from a technical perspective. But where he really excels is in understanding what your particular goals are and motivating you to achieve them. If a workout isn't enjoyable (along with the sweat), you aren't going to want to go to the gym and give it 110%.
